Mount: Nikon Z mount

Nikon’s Z mount is wider than the competition, and a wide mount means more light (and more detail) hitting your camera’s sensor.

Focal length: 50mm

A fast nifty fifty is a must-have for most photographers. The classic focal length is perfect in a huge range of scenarios, from portraits and reportage to landscapes and close-ups. The versatility of a 50mm means it’s the perfect always-on lens when you’re out and about.

Aperture range: f/1.4 – f/16

The fast aperture allows for a wide range of creative expression, with sharp images in low light, the ability to reduce blurring with faster shutter speeds and beautiful bokeh and subject separation with such a shallow depth of field. The lens can be closed down all the way to f/16 for sharpness from front to back of your image.

The same size and a very similar weight to the NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.4, the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.4 is well balanced on your camera and easy to carry around all day, ready for capturing images on the go. The two f/1.4 lenses make a perfect pairing of versatile primes for your Nikon Z camera.

Fast, quiet and with minimised focus breathing, the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.4 will latch on to your subject quickly and stay there, so your stills and videos will stay sharp where you need them to be.
